Back To My Roots

New year, new resolution.....yea rite, and how long will the resolution last this time? For this reason, I am going back to my roots. The very reason I set up this blog is to keep reminding myself of the Abs Diet Challenge. Apparently I fail, to a certain degree, I guess. I'll just blame it on an unopportune timing, remember post of not starting your diet in December? Oh well, I can only sympathised with my counterpaft back home, how hard it must be to refuse `arjiki'. Anyway, no more excuses, if you want something real bad, you just have to find ways to do it. Just like a wise man once said, Where There Is A Will, There Is A way. With this in mind, I'll just have to find my own way. Although, I am glad to report that now my waist is just 30.5"! Not much improvement? Well atleast I am moving in the right direction. As my two cents worth of advise I gave to my sis recently, the goal must be realistic - not too easy and not too difficult. Its all about balance in life. Certainly rice is not the root of all evil, if only we can descipline ourselves not to take more than necessary. Try to eat, maybe, on less spoon a day! Oh well, easier said than done, the thought of Sambal Belacan, Rusip, Jaruk Mangga enough to make my mouth water, and to heck with Fat, I'll just have to live with it.

Well you see, the beauty of Abs Diet is that, you can have all that but in moderation. In fact you can splurge one day in a week. So everytime you feel like eating a cake, just tell yourself I will eat it on Saturday or Sunday or whatever day you choose to be your splurge day! Its all in the reward, honey!

Since I am on this topic, I might as well quote some thing from the book. It says " But when it comes to weight control, aerobic exercise is more overrated....because aerobic exercise builds little (if any) muscle - and muscle is the key component of a speedy metabolism. Muscle eats fat; again add 1 pound of muscle, and your body burns up to an additional 50 calories a day just to keep that muscle alive. Add 6 pounds of muscle, and suddenly you're burning up to 300 more calories each day just by sitting still". Now doesnt that makes you thinking?
